Kellie Gong, President
Hi Everyone! My name is Kellie Gong and I am a second year (P2) College of Pharmacy student here at WesternU. When I'm not too busy studying or working, you can typically find me at a boba shop with friends or playing a variety of video games. As someone who loves to learn more about the Chinese culture, I hope to give others the opportunity to learn more about the culture through CAHSA so we can continue striving towards our club's mission to reduce language barriers and promote better health outcomes.
Michelle Li, President Elect
Hi there! My name is Michelle Li, and I am a 1st year osteopathic medicine student at WesternU. I joined CAHSA because I wanted to improve my Mandarin through our Chinese Medical Terminology course and become a physician who can serve the needs of the Chinese community. As a Chinese-American, I was born and raised in Southern California, and graduated from UCSD with a major in Pharmacological Chemistry. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, spending time at the beach, and playing video games.
Kimberly Garay, Secretary
Hello everyone! My name is Kimberly Garay and I am a second year pharmacy student at WesternU. I joined CAHSA because I would love to help reduce language barriers by learning a third language in addition to helping CAHSA’s organization expand. A little about me, I’m a Pharmacy Intern at my local pharmacy on the weekends but on my spare time, I love to play Animal Crossing and Among Us!
Yiya Zhao, Internal VP
Greeting Everyone! My name is Yiya Zhao and I am a second year student from the College of Pharmacy at WesternU. Chinese is my mother language. I joined CAHSA because I would like to try my best to spread the Chinese culture to the healthcare professions. I love to watch Running Man and play Brawl Stars in my free time.
Qi Tian, Internal VP
Hello! My name is Qi Tian. I am a first year DO student here at WesternU. I decided to join CAHSA because I want to help improve health literacy in the Chinese communities. Being born and raised in China, I am fluent in Mandarin and it has been a pleasure to be able to create lessons and teach WesternU students who are interested in learning Mandarin. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, working out, hanging out with my dog and playing instruments.
